Texas residents are getting to vote on how they want the Texas government to provide funding opportunities for state parks.

 

College Station, Texas (KBTX) – Texas residents get to vote on how they want the state government to provide funding opportunities for state parks.

Texas will hold a general election on Nov. 7 and the ballot includes many propositions citizens can vote on. The 14th proposition asks the people for their opinion on funding for state parks.

“The proposition will create a trust fund that will allow the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to be on the lookout for new parkland when it becomes available,” said Jenifer Sarver, Spokesperson for Texas Coalition for State Parks.

Organizations such as the Texas Coalition for State Parks are advocating for Texans to vote for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to receive up to $1 billion in funding for more state parks…
