Kacey Musgraves campaigns for Texas constitutional amendment to expand state parks

Grammy-winning musician Kacey Musgraves is jumping back into the political arena but with a little less partisanship than her past jabs at Republicans Ted Cruz and Donald Trump.

Musgraves, a Wood County native, is lending her voice to political ads calling for passage of Proposition 14 on the November ballot, which would create a $1 billion state fund to help purchase land for more state parks in Texas.

“Prop 14 is a bipartisan effort because conserving the wildlife and wild places that make Texas so special is something that unites us all,” Musgraves says in the promotional video paid for by the Texas Coalition for State Parks PAC. That coalition is backed by environmental and recreational groups like Audubon Texas, Buffalo Bayou Partnership and Ducks Unlimited….
